On the Ordos incident theory

One thing caught my eye was during the Ordos infiltration mission, there was a sheet of paper full of 18 digit ID numbers (every citizen in China has one ID number) shown inside of the Ordos facility, so I guess the laptop Reese and Stanton were suppose to retrieve did contain something related to The Machine.

Remember the flash-back scene where Reese, Stanton and Snow had a “package” in the bathroom? I guess he’s the one who sold the laptop to the Chinese government (maybe just a contact from whoever behind this). It was 2008. Since that, the Chinese government was trying to make their own version of The Machine in Ordos and was at least having some progress in 2010. But the information was somehow leaked out and the whole facility was wiped out, the replica was stolen.

I have a feeling that both the US and the Chinese government were coned in the Ordos incident. The person really behind this sold the tech to the Chinese on purpose. He/she let the Chinese use their resources to build a replica of The Machine, then took it for his/her own use. Any trace will be burned clean by the US air strike, and the blame will be on the US government, no one will ever suspect the person who really set up this.

Right now, the biggest suspect who could have done this is Weeks, he did tried to hack The Machine after all, and he has the power and resources to set up the whole thing. Though I have a slight feeling that it could be Nathan Ingram since we haven’t seen his body yet… but I really hope he is innocent, or I’ll cry.
